Our no fuss design encourages independence, benefits all age groups and decreases hazards within a busy hospital environment.
The band is snapped onto the crutch and the crutch is placed against the magnetic board. The rare earth magnets take hold of the crutch leaving the patient hands free yet keeping their crutches within reach.
As a team, we conducted a lot of research behind the physics and benefits of using the magnets and began to prototype.
Material and user testing was also a very important part of our creative process as we were made aware that obvious solutions do not seem as obvious within a different environment.
